Within days of the UN resolution for the Libyan no-fly zone a few months back, it has been known that this was purely a very thin cover for European and US ambitions of regime change to place a better puppet in power and to grab the billions in oil revenues that Libyan had in the bank. The claim that NATO were bombing Libyan to save civilians was always a bit like ‘fucking for virginity’ and was extremely suspect coming from an organisation that was busy killing and maiming people in Afghanistan alongside the US.
In the past few weeks the mainstream pro-repressive pro-murder press has been giving a massive propanganda boost to the so called rebels. These ragbag assertment of cut-throats and extremists and even Al Qaeda jihad forces who had very little support were supported by thousands of continuous bombing raids by NATO and now last night NATO were instrument in bombing Tripoli and straffing (heavy calibar gunships) civilians from helicopters. Crimes against humanity have been and are being committed by NATO and the terrorists that they have aided and abetted over the past few months as they terrorize the people of Libya, maim and murder them.

Tripoli, Libya, Aug. 22, 2011, 1 AM CET– On Saturday evening, at 8pm, when the hour of Iftar marked the breaking of the Ramadan fast, the NATO command launched its “Operation Mermaid Dawn” against Libya.
The Sirens were the loudspeakers of the mosques, which were used to launch Al Qaeda’s call to revolt against the Qaddafi government. Immediately the sleeper cells of the Benghazi rebels went into action. These were small groups with great mobility, which carried out multiple attacks. The overnight fighting caused 350 deaths and 3,000 wounded.
The situation calmed somewhat on Sunday during the course of the day.
Then, a NATO warship sailed up and anchored just off the shore at Tripoli, delivering heavy weapons and debarking Al Qaeda jihadi forces, which were led by NATO officers.
Fighting stared again during the night. There were intense firefights. NATO drones and aircraft kept bombing in all directions. NATO helicopters strafed civilians in the streets with machine guns to open the way for the jihadis.
In the evening, a motorcade of official cars carrying top government figures came under attack. The convoy fled to the Hotel Rixos, where the foreign press is based. NATO did not dare to bomb the hotel because they wanted to avoid killing the journalists. Nevertheless the hotel, which is where I am staying, is now under heavy fire.
At 11:30pm, the Health Minister had to announce that the hospitals were full to overflowing. On Sunday evening, there had been 1300 additional dead and 5,000 wounded.
NATO had been charged by the UN Security Council with protecting civilians in Libya. In reality, France and Great Britain have just re-started their colonial massacres.
At 1am, Khamis Qaddafi came to the Rixos Hotel personally to deliver weapons for the defense of the hotel. He then left. There is now heavy fighting all around the hotel.

NATO troops are indeed on the ground and fighting in Tripoli and across Libya leading efforts to topple Qaddafi’s government.
Additionally, rebel leaders from Benghazi are rushing to Tripoli to claim the capital amid fierce street fighting while NATO, the Council on Foreign Relations, and other globalist outlets openly talk about an inevitable NATO occupation force that has been pieced together and prepared since the beginning of NATO operations earlier this year. British, French, Jordanian, Qatari military crack forces are behind compound siege
An intelligence-gathering outlet that has proven accurate in the past has reported today that far from being merely a rebel uprising, the showdown in Tripoli over the last 48 hours is being “spearheaded” by British, French, Jordanian and Qatari Special Operations forces.
Israeli open source intelligence gathering outfit DEBKAfile reports:
“This is the first time Western and Arab ground troops have fought on the same battlefield in any of the Arab revolts of the last nine months and the first time Arab soldiers have taken part in a NATO operation.”
As we reported yesterday, the operation, nicknamed “Mermaid Dawn”, is being directed by US and NATO forces. The rebels have received training and arms from special forces and are being directed by Western intelligence operatives on the ground in Libya.
NATO is now planning a “humanitarian” occupation of Libya with thousands of British and American soldiers, risking the possibility that troops could be sent into yet another quagmire to rival Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Debkafile report continues:
“Our military sources report that the British have deployed SAS commandoes and France, 2REP (Groupe des commando parachutiste), which is similar to the US Navy DELTA unit, as well as DINOP commandos. Fighting too are Jordan’s Royal Special Forces, specialists in urban combat and capturing fortified installations like the Qaddafi compound in Tripoli, and the Qatari Special Forces, which were transferred from Benghazi where they guarded rebel Transitional National Council leaders.”
The report also states that the rebel fighters being directed by these special forces groups are very uncoordinated small groups of tribal fighters.
“NATO is trying to import better-trained fighters by sea from Benghazi and Misrata.” the report states. This information dovetails with intelligence revealed by journalist Webster Tarpley on yesterday’s nationally syndicated Alex Jones show.
DEBKAfile notes that its military sources say many key facilities within Gaddafi’s compound, which is now under seige, are located underground.
The “chambers are interconnected by a network of corridors, some broad enough to accommodate tanks. The network branches out to the sea and locations outside Tripoli.” the report states. Indeed, it is believed that Gadaffi 12th Tank Division is stationed in these vast tunnels.
This indicates that the “victory” scenes playing out across the media at time of writing with rebels clambering over statues within the grounds are somewhat premature.
DEBKAfile’s previous analysis has proven to be on the money. Indeed, back in July the website received intelligence indicating that should Gadaffi continue to resist an agreement to step down before the UN mandated September 2nd deadline, then NATO was prepared to instigate a crushing military blow in which the United States had also agreed to take part.

British, French agents undercover in Libya to get Gaddafi: Report
..London, June 19 (ANI): A team of 130 British and French agents are reportedly on a one-million-pound-a-week, do-or-die deep undercover mission in Libya to get Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
The British security service MI6 and France’s Directorate-General for External Security agents will hunt for the dictator in Operation Fire And Forget, the Daily Star reports.
According to a senior security source, these agents are personally sanctioned by UK PM David Cameron and French President Sarkozy, the paper said.
Members of the team speak the language, have lived in the country for years, and have made good contacts or landed jobs in key areas.
“These agents are very brave people. If they get caught they will disappear and won’t survive an hour,” the paper quoted the senior security source, as saying.
Money is no object and the operation could cost an estimated one million pounds a week, the source added. (ANI)

The Libya Media Hoax: Fabricated Scenes of Jubilation and Euphoria on Green Square

Surpassing previous mass media fabrications, both in scale and boldness, yesterday morning’s Al Jazeera mise-en-scène will surely go down in history as one of the most cynical hoaxes committed by corporate media since the manipulated pictures of Iraqis topplying Saddam Hussein’s statue after the US invasion in 2003.
On the morning of August 22nd 2011, Al Jazeera aired a ‘live’ report from Green Square in Tripoli,which claimed to show the capture of the Libyan capital by rebel forces. Scenes of jubilation and euphoria enveloped Al Jazeera’s reporter Zeina Khodr as she declared: ” Liya is in the hands of the opposition”
The images were immediately reproduced throughout the global media complex, with headlines trumpeting the ‘end of the Gaddafi regime’ and editorials throughout the corporate media world speculating about the post-Gaddafi future of Libya.
Gaddafi’s sons were said to have been arrested, and more defections were announced. The Libyan capital was, we were told, now in the hands of the rebel forces. For many, it seemed a fait accompli.

In fact, the Al Jazeera pictures from Green Square were an elaborate and criminal hoax. The report had been prefabricated in a studio in Doha Qatar . This information had been passed onto Libyan intelligence and the Libyan people had already been warned about the qatari psyops a couple of days previously on Rayysse state television.
The Al Jazeera hoax was intended to create the impression that Tripoli had fallen so as:

(1) to break the Libyan resistance by creating panic and chaos in the Libyan captial.

(2) to provide cover for the massacres of civilians that would occur in the days following the declaration of rebel victory.

In other words, the media would provide cover for the war crimes and crimes against humanity that are necessary in order to subjugate the Libyan Jamhahirya to Western corporate interests.

Shortly after the Al Jazeera pictures were released, this author contacted independent reporter Lizzie Phelan in Tripoli. Miss Phelan was able to confirm from what she described as realiable sources that the Al Jazeera pictures were false.
By the end of the day, it emerged that all the twitter lies emanating from the criminals in the National Transitional Council were also, unsurprisingly, false. Gaddafi’s sons had not been arrested, and the rebels were not in control of the city.
In the meantime, Lizzie Phelan, Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya and Thierry Meyssan have received veiled death threats from Western media staying in the Rixos Hotel in Tripoli. After the arrival of thousands of NATO/Al Qaeda terrorists, a brief period of chaos ensued in the city.
When many of the mainstream reporters abandoned the Rixos Hotel, Libyan authorities discovered that most of them were CIA and MI6 agents working undercover as journalists.
At present, Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya, Thierry Meysan and other real journalists remain trapped in the Rixos Hotel. Nazemroaya was fired upon by a NATO/rebel sniper when he attempted to place a press sign on top of the Rixos hotel to protect the building from NATO bombardement.
Reporter Lizzie Phelan contacted a friend yesterday to say that she had been threatened by CNN personnel and had been blocked from using facebook and email.
Below, you can see the warning given to the Libyan people by state media of Al Jazeera’s coming psyops. The presenter tells the viewers that Al Jazeera have produced a simulation of Tripoli’s Green Square, and that they are going to use this to produce a gigantic fiction of ‘liberated’ Libya.
The picture above proves that the producers of the Al Jazeera hoax are no Dutch masters, as the glaring discrepancies between the real Green Square in Tripoli and the Al Jazeera version are patently obvious. The differences between the architecture in Green Square in Tripoli and the pictures shown in Al Jazeera are well documented in the video below.
While the Al Jazeera mise-en-scène is entertaining, the leading actress Zeina Khodr is unlikey to receive awards for her rather slugish performance. She said her lines rather mechanically, as one who was not particularly enamoured of the script, or perhaps it was the far-fetched aspect of the entire screen play that bothered her.
This media hoax is another poignant example of the desperation of NATO, who have ruthlessly bombed a sovereign nation for 6 months and have so far failed to effect regime change. It also proves yet again the role of the corporate media in disinformation and war-

Voice of America, a US State Department mouthpiece, conceded Wednesday that Qaddafi’s troops were holding and contesting multiple locations across the capital of Tripoli and still held entire cities along both Libya’s coast and throughout the nation’s vast interior. With NATO already declaring victory within the realm of these glaring facts, it appears as if NATO is merely rushing to the next phase of their war of aggression – the occupation, which by necessity will require an initial invasion and the establishment of a “Green-Zone” to protect NATO’s rebel proxies.

On Monday night August 22, 2011 I met with Saif al Islam. He was not captured and he is not dead.
At least not as of 11 p.m. 8/22/11 or roughly 24 hours after the NTC and the ICC claim he was captured and was being prepared for transport to The Hague. Saif was defiant and he gave assurances that his family was safe and that NATO would be defeated politically for its crimes against Libyan civilians.
Saif took a western camera man and reporter on a short tour of Tripoli showing them that NATO was not in control—not 95% in control of Tripoli  as the NTC rep in London has been claiming since Sunday night and not 80% in control of Tripoli as the White House & NATO’s “Operation protect the  Libyan civilians” CEO, Rasmussen, has claimed. But the rebels do appear to currently control large swatches of Libya’s capitol.  A journalist  from the UK Independent who has been with the rebels for the past more than two months and who seemed to literally sort of stumble into our hotel yesterday told me this morning that NTC claims made during the period he was with them were “complete bullshit.”
One rebel media representative who re-defected back to the Gaddafi regime from the rebels is being interviewed by a journalist this afternoon.  He told us that the NATO office in Naples is writing or vetting all NTC communications and that they have on their staff Israel Defense Ministry of Information psych-warfare specialists who are producing “panic causing leaflets & mobile phone messages” as well as putting out false claims at key moments for maximum impact on  international and local  public opinion.
However, it appears from here that the West is gobbling up the fake NTC (NATO) “media advisories” being regurgitated by “Libya experts” interviewed ad nausea on CNN, BCC, FOX and other MSM outlets who pontificate about the NTC’s democrats stunning achievement.
The above noted interviewee also claims that he heard rumors that NATO has dropped hit teams to control the messages coming from non MSM reporters who depict NATO and rebel activities in a negative light.

6:15 p.m.  The young man who let me borrow his bicycle rushed into the Corinthia hotel to tell us that Gaddafi’s compound at Bab al Azizia has been taken by “NATO rebel” forces following the nearly 9 hour battle. A high ranking Gaddafi official advised me last night that he expected Gaddafi’s compound would be taken and that the Colonel will not be easy to locate and will  continue to galvanize a counter revolution in the coming days. He also told me that during the night of Saturday August 20, 2011 Kaddafi issued orders for his troops and supporters not to bomb and fire tanks inside Tripoli for fear of killing civilians and destroying civilian houses.

The Examiner learned in communications from human rights defenders and independent journalists throughout Monday that they were shaken with news of 1300 Libyans killed and 5000 wounded Saturday, plus, the U.S. allegedly ordered Targeted Killings of Voltaire Network reporters, Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya and Thierry Meyssan, non-mainstream reporters in Libya covering the NATO war, while other independent reporters there are being fired upon and one, Mohammed Nabbous was killed Saturday according to ABC News.  In an interview with journalist Don DeBar on KPFA radio, he reported most mainstream “news” about Libya has been untrue, as alternative news sites heavily report but are increasingly persecuted according to their recent reports.
The sense of despair expressed by Human Rights advocates and independent journalists from various points around the globe in communications to the Examiner on Monday as word spread about the recent NATO massacres on Libyans, unreported by mainstream news, and the targeting of independent reporters.
Monday, cheers reported in some corners were not heard from human rights workers when mainstream reported Tripoli had falling under what independent reporters say, has been falsely reported on mainstream news.
“What is needed right now is not despair on our part, but the dissemination of information, which NATO has decided is the most important battleground,” stated independent journalist, WBAIX  radio announcer Don DeBar, formerly with NPR’s WBAI.

While he is speaking to RT, shooting can be heard. “They are specifically targeting the areas where international journalists are, to sow panic here,” he argued. “NATO has done all the heavy work. This is a NATO war. They heavily bombed cities west of [Tripoli], they’ve bombed all night, without even 10 seconds of stopping. They have bombed this entire city and NATO landed the insurgents on the coast of Tripoli.”
But the city’s defenders are not pessimistic, continues Nazemroaya.
“The situation has gone tenser,” said Nazemroaya. “More members of the hotel staff have returned with guns. Obviously they have been fighting. These are volunteers, not soldiers. They returned with a picture which is not a picture of loss and they are confident.”
