Radiation blowback: 10 times lethal level registered at Fukushima

A recent examination at Japan’s Fukushima nuclear plant has revealed radiation levels up to ten times the fatal dose. The news alarmed thousands of people who have been living in constant fear of radiation exposure for over a year.
­On Tuesday, Fukushima workers inserted a remotely controlled probe into Reactor Two to assess the damage. The device is equipped with a video camera, a thermometer, and a dosimeter – which registered radiation levels much higher than expected.
The probe also discovered that the level of cooling water in the reactor is significantly lower than expected.
The other two melted-down reactors have not yet been examined, but some fear their condition could be even worse.
Tepco officials and Japanese authorities have been repeatedly caught lying about the real situation at Fukushima. Hence many locals live in constant stress over the possibility of radiation poisoning.

73 sieverts laid to low water; level will even cripple robots

Radiation inside the reactor 2 containment vessel at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant has reached a lethal 73 sieverts per hour and any attempt to send robots in to accurately gauge the situation will require them to have greater resistance than currently available, experts said Wednesday.
Exposure to 73 sieverts for a minute would cause nausea and seven minutes would cause death within a month, Tokyo Electric Power Co. said.
The experts said the high radiation level is due to the shallow level of coolant water — 60 cm — in the containment vessel, which Tepco said in January was believed to be 4 meters deep. Tepco has only peeked inside the reactor 2 containment vessel. It has few clues as to the status of reactors 1 and 3, which also suffered meltdowns, because there is no access to their insides

CNN recaps the timeline of the Fukushima nuclear disaster and how the government of Japan and TEPCO lied each step of the way.
Sadly, I still come across people who have only read or watched the initial news reports who believe there was never even any radiation released into the atmosphere from the Fukushima nuclear disaster and it is crazy to think there was a cover up.

CNN reports “They lied to us” as Japan the Fukushima radiation release is comparable to the amount released from Chernobyl and reporting 100% nuclear meltdown has occurred in 3 reactors calling the disaster the worst industrial accident in history.
In a news report on the latest official story on the Fukushima nuclear disaster CNN and famed physicist Michio Kaku blasts Japan, TEPCO and the IAEA for covering up the truth about the nuclear disaster in Japan. This subtitle reads that it is not only the radiation still leaking out, but “The truth keeps leaking out”.

CNN: Do they have control of the situation at that site?

Kaku: NO. It is still a ticking time bomb. Realize that after the big Sumatra tsunami, 90 days, 3 months after that there was a huge aftershock. If they have another aftershock, and they are not in cold shutdown yet until next year, the accident could start all over again. Its like hanging by your finger nails. Yeah, its stable but you are hanging by your finger nails.

CNN: Americans think this crisis is over, or some even think that it is solved or it is contained. It’s not. What’s happening right now.

Kaku: In the last two weeks, everything we knew about that accident has been turned upside down. We were told three partial melt downs, don’t worry about it. Now we know it was 100 percent core melt in all three reactors. [We were told that the] Radiation minimal that was released. Now we know it was comparable to radiation at Chernobyl. And as far as evacuation, [we were told], 12 miles and that is it. You don’t have to evacuate more than 12 miles. Now they find hotspots, 4 hot spots, outside the evacuation zone. 34,000 school children now have radiation badges when they go to school.

CNN: Kindergarteners with radiation badges.

Kaku: Down to 4 years of age. Can you imagine that? Kindergarten kids with radiation badges going to school. So all of the mythology of the accident has been turned upside down because the utility has finally fessed up to how severe this accident really was.

CNN: In your view, did they not know how bad it was or they knew and didn’t tell, or they were just completely blown away by the scope of the disaster?

Kaku: I am a physicists and we try to reconstruct the actual accidents in our computers given the feeble amount of information they gave use. We knew it was much more severe than they were saying, because radiation was coming out left and right. So in other words, they lied to us. They knew how much radiation was coming out. The knew how much core meltdown was taking place. But they tried to put a happy face on it.

CNN: As a reported within hours of the earthquake and Tsunami, with hours not even a day, there were already statements from the company and International Atomic Energy Association saying there had been safe shut down of all reactors and we know now of course in the end that simply wasn’t true. But from the very beginning they were trying to tell us that this was a safe situation.

Kaku: Within hours of the accident we now know it was like the keystone cops. People that are clueless, headless, just running around crazy, not knowing what to do. We can now reconstruct that accident minute by minute, hour by hour and we can see this chaos that erupted in the leadership ability.

CNN: What is happening to the people that are working there now.

Kaku: Well as you know workers are getting sent in and they are getting a years worth of radiation within just 10 minutes at a time. At Chernobyl 600,000 workers had to be mobilized. Each one going in for just a few minutes and each one getting a medal from Gorbachev.

CNN: This Will Be A Hundred Year Cleanup? How long with this take to cleanup in you view?

Kaku: 50 to 100 years.

CNN: And we are not there yet. We are not even to the point of talking about the cleanup yet because they haven’t stopped the reaction. It is still happening.

Kaku: Clean up hasn’t even started yet. They are not even looking at getting to cold shutdown until next year. Cold shutdown is when boiling stops. There is boiling water right there at the reactor releasing radiation into the environment and releasing radiation into gigantic vats.

CNN: How are they storing and disposing of this stuff?

Kaku: That is the killer [pun intended?] because we have all of these vats that are filling up now and they may have to dump it into the ocean again. At that point the Chinese, the Koreans, the fisherman they get up all in arms because there is so much damage [ to the reactor cores] that every time you put water [into the reactors to cool the fuel rods that are melting down] it just leaks right out again, highly radioactive, and it is filling up at the site right now.

CNN: So what do they do with it?

Kaku: Right now, they are just counting the gallons as they pile up desperately trying to bring more vats in but once they saturate they are going to have to dump and at that point it is another crisis.

CNN: Lets talk about the radiation in the environment, in the atmosphere. We have been told that it would be measurable but a miniscule amount on the US West Coast and around the world? Is that true?

Kaku: It is still minimal around the world [based on what we are being told from government reported radiation readings]. Most of the damage is concentrated within 20 to 50 miles of the reactor. That is where we have the hotspots, that is where we have 20 times normal amounts of [annual adult] radiation [limits] in school yards outside of the evacuation zone.
Kaku: But in New York City, [based off government released radiation measurements] you can actually see it in the milk. You can actually see it has iodine, 131, actually spiked a little bit in our milk in New York City, but it is very small.

CNN: Just even hearing that, though, even hearing that you can detect it, that there’s a catastrophe, the worst industrial catastrophe in history, we can see it in milk in New York, that’s frightening.

Kaku: That’s right. This could be the grand daddy of all industrial accidents topping Chernobyl at $200 billion, topping the Gulf Oil Spill at $15 billion, topping the Columbia and Challenger disasters out in space at about $10 billion. This could be the world record holder for an industrial accident.
Kaku: Realize Chernobyl was one core’s worth radiation causing a $200 billion accident and it is still on going. Here we have 20 cores worth of radiation. Three totally melted, one damaged and the [rest in] spent fuel pumps, 20 cores worth of highly radioactive materials. […]

Don’t be fooled though, it is not as if CNN or any other corporate media outlet is doing any real journalism here. Everything discussed in this video is information directly released and admitted to by TEPCO and Japan.
Throughout this disaster all the media has done is echo statements from US and Japan government officials neglecting to do any real investigative journalism reporting stories that were so blatantly false and non-nonsensical because it was the official story coming from the Government when even the common laymen could see right through the lies.

The Mainichi daily news is reporting the chief of the Meteorological Society of Japan, Hiroshi Niino aprofessor at the University of Tokyo, is drawing strong criticism from the academic community in Japan for issuing a gag order to censor Fukushima nuclear radiation forecasts from the public.  Niino justified the order to withhold the forecasts from the public by saying if “forecasts were announced, it would have carried the risk that ordinary people may panic.” Japan still has over 2,000 radiation forecasts which have not been released to the public. In related developments radiation levels in Japanese fish is still too high to lift the fishing ban and radioactive iodine along with cesium have been detected in deep seawater for the first time.

Additionally, a certain food manufacturing company conducted a survey by themselves. In a rice field is more than 50kms away from the Fukushima power plant, it was found that there was very high radiation that is very different to what the government released.
According to this food manufacturing company, they currently don’t announce these results due to the large influence* that this rice field has high concentration of plutonium.
* Note: It is not mentioned what the influence is but it implies they do not currently release the information as it may have an impact on the media/public.

Japan’s TEPCO plea for debt forgiveness draws ire
TOKYO (AFP) – Japanese government remarks calling on lenders to forgive some of Tokyo Electric Power’s debt have sparked acrimony and confusion, and illustrate difficulties in addressing a nuclear crisis, say analysts.
Corporate leaders have rounded on comments from Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano that banks may have to waive some pre-quake loan terms to the operator of the Fukushima nuclear plant before it gets public help to pay compensation.
“We’d like the government to avoid making rash comments that will affect earnings and share prices before they have a clear policy,” Yasuchika Hasegawa, the newly appointed chairman of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, said Tuesday.
Edano’s comment “was a bit extreme,” said Tsuyoshi Ueno, senior economist at NLI Research Institute.
“If banks do drop loans, they would have to expect their own ratings go down. This would inevitably affect their business performance and negatively impact the entire financial sector.”
Shares in Japan’s biggest banking groups such as Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, TEPCO’s key lender, and Mizuho Financial Group have endured volatile trade on fears they face big losses if some of TEPCO’s debts are forgiven.
Tokyo Stock Exchange President Atsushi Saito was quoted in the Nikkei business daily as saying Edano’s comments were “illogical”.
And Katsunori Nagayasu, president and chief executive of Japan’s top banking group Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group said they “came out of blue”.
He added that lenders haven’t fully assessed TEPCO’s actual financial situation, and cited the difficulty of forgiving loans under such circumstances.
TEPCO is expected to face claims worth tens of billions of dollars to pay compensation to those affected by the nuclear crisis.
More than 80,000 people who have been forced from their homes, businesses and farms in a 20-kilometre (12-mile) zone around the Fukushima Daiichi plant after it was hit by the March 11 quake-tsunami, and has since leaked radiation into the air, ground and sea.

The government last week announced a framework for keeping TEPCO solvent that will use public and industry funds to pay compensation claims over the ongoing crisis at its Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.
Ueno said TEPCO’s pre-quake bank loans were about 2 trillion yen ($24 billion).
JPMorgan analyst Katsuhito Sasajima calculates waiving only a portion of TEPCO’s pre-quake loan amount “would be extremely negative.”
On Monday Moody’s downgraded TEPCO to one notch above “junk” status and cited recent assessments that damage to the Fukushima Daiichi plant has been more severe than previously stated.
It added: “If the framework adopted requires creditor concessions in respect of TEPCO’s debt, such an outcome would likely constitute a default under its definitions and result in multi-notch downgrades to all long-term debt ratings.”
The firm at the centre of the world’s worst nuclear crisis in 25 years is also Japan’s largest corporate bond issuer, accounting for eight percent of the country’s 62 trillion yen ($765 billion) corporate bond market.
As Asia’s biggest power company, TEPCO supplies electricity for Tokyo and the wider Kanto region, an area that accounts for more than a third of the nation’s gross domestic product.

A prominent Liberal Democrat has called for Chris Huhne to resign immediately as energy and climate change secretary after emails were released detailing his officials’ efforts toco-ordinate a PR response to the Fukushima disaster with the nuclear industry. Civil servants in the energy and business departments were apparently trying to minimise the impact of the disaster on public support for nuclear power.
Andy Myles, the party’s former chief executive in Scotland, said: “This deliberate and (sadly) very effective attempt to ‘calm’ the reporting of the true story of Fukushima is a terrible betrayal of liberal values. In my view it is not acceptable that a Liberal Democrat cabinet minister presides over a department deeply involved in a blatant conspiracy designed to manipulate the truth in order to protect corporate interests”.
“These emails corroborate my own impression that there has been a strange silence in the UK following the Fukushima disaster … in the UK, new nuclear sites have been announced before the results of the Europe-wide review of nuclear safety has been completed. Internal emails seen by Guardian show PR campaign was launched to protect UK nuclear plans after tsunami in Japan

British government officials approached nuclear companies to draw up a co-ordinated public relations strategy to play down the Fukushima nuclear accident just two days after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and before the extent of the radiation leak was known.
Internal emails seen by the Guardian show how the business and energy departments worked closely behind the scenes with the multinational companies EDF Energy, Areva and Westinghouse to try to ensure the accident did not derail their plans for a new generation of nuclear stations in the UK.
“This has the potential to set the nuclear industry back globally,” wrote one official at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), whose name has been redacted. “We need to ensure the anti-nuclear chaps and chapesses do not gain ground on this. We need to occupy the territory and hold it. We really need to show the safety of nuclear.”
Officials stressed the importance of preventing the incident from undermining public support for nuclear power.

Obama could kill fossil fuels overnight with a nuclear dash for thorium
If Barack Obama were to marshal America’s vast scientific and strategic resources behind a new Manhattan Project, he might reasonably hope to reinvent the global energy landscape and sketch an end to our dependence on fossil fuels within three to five years.
There is no certain bet in nuclear physics but work by Nobel laureate Carlo Rubbia at CERN (European Organization for Nuclear Research) on the use of thorium as a cheap, clean and safe alternative to uranium in reactors may be the magic bullet we have all been hoping for, though we have barely begun to crack the potential of solar power.
Dr Rubbia says a tonne of the silvery metal – named after the Norse god of thunder, who also gave us Thor’s day or Thursday – produces as much energy as 200 tonnes of uranium, or 3,500,000 tonnes of coal. A mere fistful would light London for a week.
Thorium eats its own hazardous waste. It can even scavenge the plutonium left by uranium reactors, acting as an eco-cleaner. “It’s the Big One,” said Kirk Sorensen, a former NASA rocket engineer and now chief nuclear technologist at Teledyne Brown Engineering.

“Once you start looking more closely, it blows your mind away. You can run civilisation on thorium for hundreds of thousands of years, and it’s essentially free. You don’t have to deal with uranium cartels,” he said.
ITS COMMONLY AND EASILY AVAILABLE
Thorium is so common that miners treat it as a nuisance, a radioactive by-product if they try to dig up rare earth metals. The US and Australia are full of the stuff. So are the granite rocks of Cornwall. You do not need much: all is potentially usable as fuel, compared to just 0.7pc for uranium.

After the Manhattan Project, US physicists in the late 1940s were tempted by thorium for use in civil reactors. It has a higher neutron yield per neutron absorbed. It does not require isotope separation, a big cost saving. But by then America needed the plutonium residue from uranium to build bombs.

The Massacre of the Afghan 17 and the Obama Cover-Up

March 27, 2012 “Information Clearing House” — The March 11 Massacre of the 17 Afghan citizens, including at least nine children and four women, raises many fundamental issues about the nature of a colonial war, the practices of a colonial army engaged in a prolonged (eleven-year) occupation and the character of an imperial state as it commits war crimes and increasingly relies on arbitrary dictatorial measures to secure public compliance and suppress dissent.
After the cold-blooded murder of the 17 Afghan villagers in Kandahar Province the US military and the ever-complicit Obama regime constructed an elaborate cover-up, exposing the Administration up to charges of conspiracy to suppress the essential facts, falsify data and obstruct justice: All are grounds for criminal prosecution and impeachment.
This massacre is just one of several hundred committed by US armed forces according to the Afghan president, Hamid Karzai. It could ruin the Obama presidency, by putting him on trial for conspiracy to obstruct justice and arguably send him to jail for war crimes.

You must already know that the Pentagon’s “official” death lists, the KIA’s, or combat deaths, are an utter fraud, as are civilian deaths. A fatality is not considered a “combat death” if the individual is injured in an attack and then dies from those same wounds a year later in a hospital. Car accidents, accidental explosions or falls that result in death (even when they occur in a war-zone, which is all the time) are not considered combat deaths. Death from a disease acquired in the war zone is not considered a “combat death.” That includes cancer and chronic illness, which occurs much more frequently among “service-people,” and is likely caused by the toxic environment of deployment.
What the rolls of the dead also do not include, are the many thousands who continue on, to some extent or another, with permanently impaired brain function. This could mean many physiological things, including loss of memory, PTSD, retardation, quadriplegia, or total coma. USA Today reports that over 360,000 veterans of the Iraq/Afghan Wars have traumatic brain injuries.

Up to 20 US Troops Behind Kandahar Bloodbath – Afghan Probe

March 18, 2012 “RT” — An Afghan parliamentary investigation team has implicated up to 20 US troops in the massacre of 16 civilians in Kandahar early on Sunday morning. It contradicts NATO’s account that insists one rogue soldier was behind the slaughter.
­The team of Afghan lawmakers has spent two days collating reports from witnesses, survivors and inhabitants of the villages where the tragedy took place.
“We are convinced that one soldier cannot kill so many people in two villages within one hour at the same time, and the 16 civilians, most of them children and women, have been killed by the two groups,” investigator Hamizai Lali told Afghan News.
Lali also said their investigations led them to believe 15 to 20 US soldiers had been involved in the killings. He appealed to the international community to ensure that the responsible parties were brought to justice, stressing the Afghan parliament would not rest until the killers were prosecuted.
 “If the international community does not play its role in punishing the perpetrators, the Wolesi Jirga [parliament] would declare foreign troops as occupying forces,” he said.
The head of the Afghan parliamentary investigation, Sayed Ishaq Gillani, told the BBC that witnesses report seeing helicopters dropping chaff during the attack, a measure used to hide targets from ground attack.
Gillani added that locals suspect the massacre was revenge for attacks carried out last week on US forces that left several injured.

In response to the massacre Afghan PM Hamid Karzai called for US troops to quit Afghan villages and confine themselves to their military bases across the country. Furthermore, the Taliban announced that talks with US forces would be suspended.
Meanwhile the US military has detained one soldier in connection with the massacre and transferred him to Kuwait amid outcry for a public trial in Afghanistan. Currently, the soldier is being flown to Kansas base, AFP reported.
US authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the motives behind the attack, but maintain that the soldier’s trial must be dealt with by the US legal system.
It is believed that the soldier may have had alcohol problems and been suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.

US Forces Raped Two Women in Kandahar Carnage: Probe Mission

March 17, 2012 “Press TV” — The Afghan parliamentary mission investigating the recent massacre of 16 civilians by US forces in Afghanistan says two women were raped during the deadly incident, Press TV reports.
Two members of the fact-finding mission, Hamidzi Lali and Shakiba Hashemi, told the general meeting of Afghanistan’s parliament on Saturday that the American troopers raped two Afghan women before starting the massacre.
They said between 15 to 20 US soldiers were involved in the carnage.
This is while Washington claims that the 38-year-old Army Staff Sergeant Robert Bales, who has just arrived in the US, was the only American military personnel responsible for the massacre.
Earlier on Friday, Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai criticized the United States for not cooperating with the Afghan fact-finding team and said the killing of civilians by foreign forces in Afghanistan “has been going on for too long.”

The Kandahar Massacre

March 18, 2012 “The Nation” –  Pakistanis were not very surprised when an American soldier ran amuck in Kandahar and shot up 16 Afghan civilians, which came hot on the heels of another incident of American callousness in Afghanistan, i.e. the burning of copies of Holy Quran at the Bagram Airbase. Just as Pakistan had experienced the Raymond Davis affair, in which a CIA contractor had shot two Pakistanis, with his rescue vehicle running down a third, and had thus learned the hard way that CIA contractors were not benign presences who could be given the free run of the country, so have the Afghans learnt at the cost of massacre in Kandahar and the cost of being occupied by the USA. The common aspect of both incidents is that Washington’s dirty little secret is out!
If Europe sent its ‘remittance men’ out to the colonies, the USA is sending out those murderous offenders who, if kept in the country, would soon spray either the children at a school, or colleagues at a workplace, with bullets. It is an unfortunate truth that in a culture that glorifies violence, the armed forces attract the very kind of persons prone to such sudden outbursts. They are not many, and military discipline normally controls them, but under the sort of pressure that Afghanistan is providing for the US army or Pakistan for CIA contractors, such incidents are bound to happen.

Another factor is that the military is not like civilian life, where murderous tendencies are severely suppressed, even on the penalty of loss of life. The military trains people to kill, and going into combat means killing others.Of course, something may go wrong, and some soldiers, or one or the other, may lose the inhibitions too much, enough to run amuck.
A recurring American theme is that of the heavily-armed vigilante, who shoots up the ‘bad guys’, suitably dehumanised by being given comic-book names, from the ‘injun’, the native American, brutally massacred during the Indian wars of the 19th century, to the ‘jerry’, ‘jap’, ‘chink’ and ‘gook’ (Germans, Japanese, Chinese and Vietnamese, the latter two from the Korean and Vietnam wars) of the 20th century
This makes sense not just of the My Lai massacres, in which American troops slaughtered Vietnamese villagers, but of the massacres in Iraq that also learnt the cost of being occupied by the USA, as well as of the non-US, Nato massacres in Afghanistan, carried out by forces under American influence, even before the close contact produced by joint operations together. There were two massacres by US forces in Haditha during the occupation. The first was in 2005, in which US marines killed 24 and then Blackwater military contractors killed 17 people in 2007. Almost as if in a rehearsal for Salalah, an Apache helicopter crew killed 12 in Baghdad in the same year. These killings, My Lai, Haditha, Kandahar, all took place under occupation, and indicate the nature of American occupation: It is not just neo-colonial, but it is staffed by violent people.

Jon Turner relates his experiences in Iraq at the Winter Soldier 2008 event.
“The reason I am doing this,” said former Marine Jon Turner, “is not only for myself and for the rest of society to hear, but it’s for all those who can’t be here … . Until people hear what is going on with this war, it will continue to happen, and people will continue to die. I’m sorry for the things that I did. I am no longer the monster that I once was.”

A former Marine who had served two tours in Iraq, Jon Turner did not look like a monster.- he could easily pass for the all-American boy.
But the stories he related, and the videos and slides he showed during four days of hearings called “Winter Soldier Iraq and Afghanistan,” were a million miles away from Norman Rockwell America.
During last month’s hearings, held just outside Washington, D.C., a group called Iraq Veterans Against the War presented 55 veterans, including Turner, who gave personal testimony of what they had seen and done in Iraq. It was one horror story after another.
Turner, whose unit had lost 18 soldiers in Iraq, reported routinely firing rounds into mosques just out of anger; “kicking in doors and terrorizing families”; the mistaken firing of rounds into cars filled with civilians whose drivers were simply confused or didn’t understand the English commands to stop; and dozens of other brutalities carried out daily against the population of Iraq.
Other veterans testified to similar incidents, but two of Turner’s stories were among the heaviest we heard in those four days.
The first was of Turner’s “first kill” – a “fat man” on foot whom he shot for refusing a command to halt. The “fat man” did not die from the first bullet that Turner put in his neck, so while he screamed and looked pleadingly into Turner’s eyes, Turner deliberately dispatched him with a shot at close range.
The second story was even worse. Turner and his men were having a bad day – and bad days are apparently not hard to have in Iraq – so Turner and two fellow soldiers “took out some individuals” who were doing them no harm. Turner shot a man going by on a bike, then threw the body behind a wall and tossed his bike on top of it.
At the hearings, my friend Anthony Swofford, author of “Jarhead” and a former Marine himself, leaned over to me and said, “I think Turner just confessed to murder.” But putting that remark in perspective, Swofford would also tell me later, “I know that for every guy up there testifying today, there are probably a thousand others out there keeping silent.”
Although the horror stories kept coming for four days, not all of them involved personal malice. Marine gunner James Gilligan sobbed as he recounted how in Afghanistan in 2004, he placed an unfamiliar compass too close to a machine-gun barrel, causing it to give a false enemy position. Instead of taking out the Taliban artillery, the troops caused extensive civilian casualties in a nearby Afghan village.
One thing is certain: The issues and problems that were talked of at Winter Soldier Iraq and Afghanistan were all things that should have been discussed and debated by the Congress, the press, and the American people long before we entered this war.

After years of unsuccessful attempts to find jobs, thousands of UK construction workers have found out why. Skilled engineers have discovered their names were on an “employment blacklist” – an illegal document which shattered their lives.
­In 2004, former union organiser Steve Hedley was mysteriously sacked, and for the next four years, he wondered why he could not get another full-time job. Then, a friend told him about a blacklist, held by a private company and accessed by some of the UK’s biggest construction firms. Sure enough, he uncovered a 16-page file on himself. The blacklisting not only wrecked his working life, but it also caused his marriage to break down.
“It goes into detail about how I was sacked, what my political activities were, what my trade union activities were, what part I was playing in the union. The employers were distributing this among themselves, and with this blacklisting organisation, barred not only me but other people from employment,” Hedley told RT.

The Ascendence of Sociopaths in US Governance

You may be thinking that what happened in places like Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Mao’s China, Pol Pot’s Cambodia and scores of other countries in recent history could not, for some reason, happen in the US. Actually, there’s no reason it won’t at this point. All the institutions that made America exceptional – including a belief in capitalism, individualism, self-reliance and the restraints of the Constitution – are now only historical artifacts.
On the other hand, the distribution of sociopaths is completely uniform across both space and time. Per capita, there were no more evil people in Stalin’s Russia, Hitler’s Germany, Mao’s China, Amin’s Uganda, Ceausescu’s Romania or Pol Pot’s Cambodia than there are today in the US. All you need is favorable conditions for them to bloom, much as mushrooms do after a rainstorm.
Conditions for them in the US are becoming quite favorable. Have you ever wondered where the 50,000 people employed by the TSA to inspect and degrade you came from? Most of them are middle-aged. Did they have jobs before they started doing something that any normal person would consider demeaning? Most did, but they were attracted to – not repelled by – a job where they wear a costume and abuse their fellow citizens all day.
Few of them can imagine that they’re shepherding in a police state as they play their roles in security theater. (A reinforced door on the pilots’ cabin is probably all that’s actually needed, although the most effective solution would be to hold each airline responsible for its own security and for the harm done if it fails to protect passengers and third parties.) But the 50,000 newly employed are exactly the same type of people who joined the Gestapo – eager to help in the project of controlling everyone. Nobody was drafted into the Gestapo.
What’s going on here is an instance of Pareto’s Law. That’s the 80-20 rule that tells us, for example, that 80% of your sales come from 20% of your salesmen or that 20% of the population are responsible for 80% of the crime.
As I see it, 80% of people are basically decent; their basic instincts are to live by the Boy Scout virtues. 20% of people, however, are what you might call potential trouble sources, inclined toward doing the wrong thing when the opportunity presents itself. They might now be shoe clerks, mailmen or waitresses – they seem perfectly benign in normal times. They play baseball on weekends and pet the family dog. However, given the chance, they will sign up for the Gestapo, the Stasi, the KGB, the TSA, Homeland Security or whatever. Many are well intentioned but likely to favor force as the solution to any problem.
But it doesn’t end there, because 20% of that 20% are really bad actors. They are drawn to government and other positions where they can work their will on other people and, because they’re enthusiastic about government, they rise to leadership positions. They remake the culture of the organizations they run in their own image. Gradually, non-sociopaths can no longer stand being there. They leave. Soon the whole barrel is full of bad apples. That’s what’s happening today in the US.
It’s a pity that Bush, when he was in office, made such a big deal of evil. He discredited the concept. He made Boobus americanus think it only existed in a distant axis, in places like North Korea, Iraq and Iran – which were and still are irrelevant backwaters and arbitrarily chosen enemies. Bush trivialized the concept of evil and made it seem banal because he was such a fool. All the while real evil, very immediate and powerful, was growing right around him, and he lacked the awareness to see he was fertilizing it by turning the US into a national security state after 9/11.
Now, I believe, it’s out of control. The US is already in a truly major depression and on the edge of financial chaos and a currency meltdown. The sociopaths in government will react by redoubling the pace toward a police state domestically and starting a major war abroad. To me, this is completely predictable. It’s what sociopaths do.
There are seven characteristics I can think of that define a sociopath, although I’m sure the list could be extended.
•Sociopaths completely lack a conscience or any capacity for real regret about hurting people. Although they pretend the opposite.
•Sociopaths put their own desires and wants on a totally different level from those of other people. Their wants are incommensurate. They truly believe their ends justify their means. Although they pretend the opposite.
•Sociopaths consider themselves superior to everyone else, because they aren’t burdened by the emotions and ethics others have – they’re above all that. They’re arrogant. Although they pretend the opposite.
•Sociopaths never accept the slightest responsibility for anything that goes wrong, even though they’re responsible for almost everything that goes wrong. You’ll never hear a sincere apology from them.
•Sociopaths have a lopsided notion of property rights. What’s theirs is theirs, and what’s yours is theirs too. They therefore defend currency inflation and taxation as good things.
•Sociopaths usually pick the wrong target to attack. If they lose their wallet, they kick the dog. If 16 Saudis fly planes into buildings, they attack Afghanistan.
•Sociopaths traffic in disturbing news, they love to pass on destructive rumors and they’ll falsify information to damage others.
The fact that they’re chronic, extremely convincing and even enthusiastic liars, who often believe their own lies, means they aren’t easy to spot, because normal people naturally assume another person is telling the truth. They rarely have handlebar mustaches or chortle like Snidely Whiplash. Instead, they cultivate a social veneer or a mask of sanity that diverts suspicion. You can rely on them to be “politically correct” in public. How could a congressman or senator who avidly supports charities possibly be a bad guy? They’re expert at using facades to disguise reality, and they feel no guilt about it.
Political elites are primarily, and sometimes exclusively, composed of sociopaths. It’s not just that they aren’t normal human beings. They’re barely even human, a separate subspecies, differentiated by their psychological qualities.

A close look at the 14 characteristics of fascism in light of what has changed in America in the past few years may raise some questions as to whether or not Americans truly live in a democratic society.
1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism. From the prominent displays of flags and bunting to the ubiquitous lapel pins, the fervor to show patriotic nationalism, both on the part of the regime itself and of citizens caught up in its frenzy, was always obvious. Catchy slogans, pride in the military, and demands for unity were common themes in expressing this nationalism. It was usually coupled with a suspicion of things foreign that often bordered on xenophobia.
2. Disdain for the importance of human rights. The regimes themselves viewed human rights as of little value and a hindrance to realizing the objectives of the ruling elite. Through clever use of propaganda, the population was brought to accept these human rights abuses by marginalizing, even demonizing, those being targeted. When abuse was egregious, the tactic was to use secrecy, denial, and disinformation.
3. Identification of enemies/scapegoats as a unifying cause. The most significant common thread among these regimes was the use of scapegoating as a means to divert the people’s attention from other problems, to shift blame for failures, and to channel frustration in controlled directions. The methods of choice—relentless propaganda and disinformation—were usually effective. Often the regimes would incite ‘spontaneous’ acts against the target scapegoats, usually communists, socialists, liberals, Jews, ethnic and racial minorities, traditional national enemies, members of other religions, secularists, homosexuals, and ‘terrorists.’ Active opponents of these regimes were inevitably labeled as terrorists and dealt with accordingly.
4. The supremacy of the military/avid militarism. Ruling elites always identified closely with the military and the industrial infrastructure that supported it. A disproportionate share of national resources was allocated to the military, even when domestic needs were acute. The military was seen as an expression of nationalism, and was used whenever possible to assert national goals, intimidate other nations, and increase the power and prestige of the ruling elite.
5. Rampant sexism. Beyond the simple fact that the political elite and the national culture were male-dominated, these regimes inevitably viewed women as second-class citizens. They were adamantly anti-abortion and also homophobic. These attitudes were usually codified in Draconian laws that enjoyed strong support by the orthodox religion of the country, thus lending the regime cover for its abuses.
6. A controlled mass media. Under some of the regimes, the mass media were under strict direct control and could be relied upon never to stray from the party line. Other regimes exercised more subtle power to ensure media orthodoxy. Methods included the control of licensing and access to resources, economic pressure, appeals to patriotism, and implied threats. The leaders of the mass media were often politically compatible with the power elite. The result was usually success in keeping the general public unaware of the regimes’ excesses.
7. Obsession with national security. Inevitably, a national security apparatus was under direct control of the ruling elite. It was usually an instrument of oppression, operating in secret and beyond any constraints. Its actions were justified under the rubric of protecting ‘national security,’ and questioning its activities was portrayed as unpatriotic or even treasonous.
8. Religion and ruling elite tied together. Unlike communist regimes, the fascist and protofascist regimes were never proclaimed as godless by their opponents. In fact, most of the regimes attached themselves to the predominant religion of the country and chose to portray themselves as militant defenders of that religion. The fact that the ruling elite’s behavior was incompatible with the precepts of the religion was generally swept under the rug. Propaganda kept up the illusion that the ruling elites were defenders of the faith and opponents of the ‘godless.’ A perception was manufactured that opposing the power elite was tantamount to an attack on religion.
9. Power of corporations protected. Although the personal life of ordinary citizens was under strict control, the ability of large corporations to operate in relative freedom was not compromised. The ruling elite saw the corporate structure as a way to not only ensure military production (in developed states), but also as an additional means of social control. Members of the economic elite were often pampered by the political elite to ensure a continued mutuality of interests, especially in the repression of ‘have-not’ citizens.
10. Power of labor suppressed or eliminated. Since organized labor was seen as the one power center that could challenge the political hegemony of the ruling elite and its corporate allies, it was inevitably crushed or made powerless. The poor formed an underclass, viewed with suspicion or outright contempt. Under some regimes, being poor was considered akin to a vice.
11. Disdain and suppression of intellectuals and the arts. Intellectuals and the inherent freedom of ideas and expression associated with them were anathema to these regimes. Intellectual and academic freedom were considered subversive to national security and the patriotic ideal. Universities were tightly controlled; politically unreliable faculty harassed or eliminated. Unorthodox ideas or expressions of dissent were strongly attacked, silenced, or crushed. To these regimes, art and literature should serve the national interest or they had no right to exist.
12. Obsession with crime and punishment. Most of these regimes maintained Draconian systems of criminal justice with huge prison populations. The police were often glorified and had almost unchecked power, leading to rampant abuse. ‘Normal’ and political crime were often merged into trumped-up criminal charges and sometimes used against political opponents of the regime. Fear, and hatred, of criminals or ‘traitors’ was often promoted among the population as an excuse for more police power.
13. Rampant cronyism and corruption. Those in business circles and close to the power elite often used their position to enrich themselves. This corruption worked both ways; the power elite would receive financial gifts and property from the economic elite, who in turn would gain the benefit of government favoritism. Members of the power elite were in a position to obtain vast wealth from other sources as well: for example, by stealing national resources. With the national security apparatus under control and the media muzzled, this corruption was largely unconstrained and not well understood by the general population.
14. Fraudulent elections. Elections in the form of plebiscites or public opinion polls were usually bogus. When actual elections with candidates were held, they would usually be perverted by the power elite to get the desired result. Common methods included maintaining control of the election machinery, intimidating and disenfranchising opposition voters, destroying or disallowing legal votes, and, as a last resort, turning to a judiciary beholden to the power elite.

The French Connection: Are We Watching Gladio-Style Electioneering By Terror?
The following are important facts that may help you understand the background to the recent shocking events in South Western France.
Three servicemen have died and in another attack on a Jewish school, a teacher, two of his own children and a third child were tragically gunned down by a masked man riding a motor scooter.
Important fact number one: the first round of the French presidential election is scheduled for April 22nd.
And number two: the incumbent Nicholas Sarkozy is fighting for his political life. He has trailed his socialist opponent Francoise Holland for months now.
He has not led in the polls against any socialist contender since November 2009.
To sum up, Sarkozy is one of the consistently least popular presidents in the history of the Fifth Republic. He looked every inch the loser engaged in a race to the bottom
Sarkozy’s nightmare is a knock-out blow delivered in the first round. Looking at the polls before the recent events in and around Toulouse, this appeared at least a possibility.
To avoid being tossed from the Élysée Palace in such a humiliating fashion, Sarkozy must sap votes from Hollande and Marin le Pen, the fragrant leader of the National Front (running third, with an average but solid rating of 16%) and the charismatic independent Francois Bayrou (average 11%), then hope to wheel around and defeat Hollande in the final duel on May 6th.
If Sarkozy were to trail Hollande, albeit even slightly, in the first round, this would count as a defeat in the eyes of French voters. It would then be left to Hollande to administer the coup de grace.
The net effect of the attacks will likely be as follows:
The Jewish vote will solidify behind Sarkozy (who incidentally has Jewish blood on his mother’s side).
He will rally that significant portion of the French electorate which is resolutely opposed to further Muslim immigration, which in France comes largely from former colonies such as Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
This polarizing of voting intentions might well be sufficient to guarantee Sarkozy the psychological edge over Hollande in the first round, if not outright victory altogether.
The television newsreels of Sarkozy the Action Man, the War President, taking personal charge of the operation to track down the culprits, the plunging of the country into a sudden state of high emergency on the eve of the most contentious presidential election for years, works like supercharged adrenalin.
Instead we see the substitution of electioneering by terror, in the tradition of Gladio. The BBC reported the ‘sense of unease’ spreading across France, which if one has to be cynical would be precisely the required impact in these highly charged electoral circumstances.
Poor Francois Hollande must be weeping buckets of tears. His calm, steadfast campaign lies in ruins as the president prances around like a hyperactive Muppet.
A genuine coincidence in politics is very rare, especially where elections are concerned. Manipulation is invariably the order of the day, by whatever means.
Sarkozy has therefore been either devilishly lucky at this stage of the hustings, or we are watching a repeat performance of the vintage Strategy of Tension? I think the latter.
In the late 60s through to the early 80s Europe was terrorized by gangs who went about planting bombs and shooting people (all of which is detailed in depth in my book on Gladio).
The Red Brigades in Italy, the Baader-Meinhof Red Army Faction in Germany, November 17 in Greece, all bands of vaguely orientated Marxist-anarchists with a taste for violence to dramatize their cause.
We now know that much of this was synthetic terror stirred for political ends by the organs of the state, intelligence organizations, and the Gladio secret armies owing allegiance to NATO.
Ironically, given present circumstances, it was a fanatically anti-communist, ultra-Catholic French ex-paratrooper called Yves Guerin-Serac (‘God’s Terrorist’) who codified the manual of terror employed by the Gladio units.
He was a particular enthusiast for infiltrating and steering subversive organizations, in order to program acts of terror that would send voters flocking to the safe arms of right wing parties and politicians.
Claudio Celani, the Italian specialist on the Gladio secret armies, was the first to define these tactics as the Strategy of Tension. Unless I am very much mistaken, this is exactly the scenario that is being played out in France right now.
When first news emerged of the shootings of three soldiers, two of them in a shopping mall in Montauban, and the horrible attack on the Jewish school in Toulouse, official briefings blamed ex-paratroopers expelled from the military for neo-fascist leanings.
If this was true, then much of the French army would suffer the same fate for holding identical views. Include the national gendarmerie under the same heading for good measure.
The first accounts of the murders would certainly raise the political temperature sufficiently to damage the electoral prospects of the National Front and their candidate Marin le Pen.
This would unquestionably favor the president’s electoral prospects. It was more than interesting that Sarkozy himself implied early on that the authorities ‘knew’ who the killers were, which suggested more than a degree of foreknowledge, which has now been verified
Then, without any explanation, the neo-fascists were hustled from the scene, to be replaced by a shadowy group of al Qaeda sympathizers with an operational base somewhere in North Africa.
Police muttered darkly that they had feared all along they would strike during the election campaign, although the villains had not previously managed to extend their reach across the Mediterranean.
Al Qaeda is a fictional creation of western intelligence, a remnant of the US-trained guerrillas who fought the Russians in Afghanistan and were subsequently recruited by the CIA to bolster Muslim forces in the Balkan struggle against the Serbs (the pact with the devil as the chief American legate in the Balkans, the late Richard Holbrooke, once described it).
In no time at all, they alighted on the home of a suspect in Toulouse, who shot at police officers when they knocked on his door.
He was dutifully described as an affiliate of the North Africa militant cell, who killed the teacher and three children at the Jewish school as a reprisal for the innocents killed by the Israelis in the Gaza Strip.
The original Strategy of Tension featured communist subversives burrowing like termites on the fabric of western democracy.
The roles have been switched to radicalized Muslims and Far Right neo-fascists. Both, as we have seen, feature in the various and it must be said, conflicting accounts currently emerging from France.

Mohammed Merah, the suspect in the killing of seven people outside a Jewish school in Toulouse, France, fits the pattern of an al-Qaeda intelligence asset. According to the BBC, he was on the radar of French authorities because of visits he made to Afghanistan and the “militant stronghold” of Waziristan in Pakistan.
More specifically, Merah was handled by France’s DCRI intelligence service “for years,” according to Claude Gueant, the interior minister.
Merah, a French citizen of Algerian origin, was arrested on December 19, 2007, and was sentenced to three years in jail for planting bombs in the southern province of Kandahar in Afghanistan.
In April of 2011, the United States admitted it has operated secret military prisons in Afghanistan where suspected terrorists are held and interrogated without charges.
The notorious Bagram airbase detention center is operated by the Joint Special Operations Command and the DIA’s Defense Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence Center (DCHC).
The DCHC “will be responsible for developing an ‘offensive counterintelligence operations’… capability for the Department of Defense, which may entail efforts to penetrate, deceive and disable foreign intelligence activities directed against U.S. forces,” Secrecy News reported in 2008 after the government announced the creation of DCHC.
The Pentagon and the CIA specialize in creating terrorists as part of a so-called covert and unconventional war doctrine dating back to the end of the Second World War (see Michael McClintock’s Instruments of Statecraft: U.S. Guerilla Warfare, Counterinsurgency, and Counterterrorism, 1940-1990 for an in-depth examination).

Although virtually ignored by the corporate media, it is an established fact that the CIA and Pakistani intelligence created what is now known as al-Qaeda out of the remnants of the Afghan mujahideen following the CIA’s covert three billion dollar war against the Soviet Union in Afghanistan.
It was the so-called Safari Club – organized under the CIA and with the participation of intelligence agencies in France, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and (under the Shah) Iran – that ramped up the largely contrived threat of international terrorism prior to and during the CIA’s manufactured war in Afghanistan (see Peter Dale Scott, Launching the U.S. Terror War: the CIA, 9/11, Afghanistan, and Central Asia).
Intelligence agencies have specialized in the covert – and not so covert – creation of terrorists which are then used to provide a cynical raison d’être for launching military intervention around the world and also providing a pretext to build and expand a domestic surveillance police state.
A textbook example of this process is the Christmas Day, 2009, underwear bomber fiasco – subsequently exposed as a false flag event – that was exploited to push for installing dangerous radiation-emitting naked body porno scanners at U.S. airports.
The fact Mohammed Merah was in the custody of the Joint Special Operations Command in Afghanistan – and his supposed jail break at the Sarposa Prison was reportedly orchestrated by the Taliban (also cretaed by the CIA and Pakistan’s ISI) – certainly raises questions about the attack in France, where a national election will soon be held.
The Telegraph reports that the attacks of the supposedly al-Qaeda connected Merah will play into the election bid of National Front candidate Marine Le Pen, who is unlikely to ever become the president of France.

It has, however, provided Nicolas Sarkozy with a pretext to put the southern part of the nation on high alert and cancel the campaigns of presidential contenders. Sarkozy stands to benefit from the terror attacks and play the role of a strong leader during a national crisis.
In the short term it is likely that President Nicolas Sarkozy will benefit. Very quickly he took charge. He rushed to the scene. He suspended his campaign. He spoke as the president of the republic,” writes Gavin Hewitt for the BBC.

March 17, 2012 “Press TV” — The Afghan parliamentary mission investigating the recent massacre of 16 civilians by US forces in Afghanistan says two women were raped during the deadly incident, Press TV reports.
Two members of the fact-finding mission, Hamidzi Lali and Shakiba Hashemi, told the general meeting of Afghanistan’s parliament on Saturday that the American troopers raped two Afghan women before starting the massacre.
They said between 15 to 20 US soldiers were involved in the carnage.

There was particular criticism of the Stop Kony campaign’s use of merchandise, such as bracelets and T-shirts, which victims said they found offensive.
“People were very angry about the film,” said Victor Ochen, director of a local charity, the African Youth Initiative Network (Ayinet), which arranged the screening. “They were all saying, ‘This is not about us, it does not reflect our lives’.”
Jeers and scuffles
The screening ended amid jeers and scuffles, with some angry viewers throwing stones. Ayinet has decided to suspend planning screenings of Kony 2012 in other parts of northern Uganda indefinitely due to the hostile reaction.
Emmy Okello, a radio journalist in Lira, said: “I cannot understand the intention of this video. It is difficult to account to us if you are not including local people. What has angered people is that the video is about a white person, not about the victims. All of them came here hoping to see video that tells their story.”

KONY 2012: State Propaganda for a New Generation. An Orchestrated Campaign to Justify US Military Intervention in Africa

Beneath this commendable cause, lies however an elaborate agenda that is presented in the video in a very manipulative way. We’ll look at the agenda behind KONY 2012 and how it uses reverse psychology to not only justify a military operation in Africa, but to actually have people demand it.
KONY 2012 is less of a documentary than it is a highly efficient infomercial that is tailor-made for the Facebook generation, using state-of-the-art marketing techniques to make its point. Young people like “underground movements” and want to feel like they are changing the world. KONY 2012 taps into these needs to bring about something that is not “hip” or “underground” at all: A military operation in Uganda.
By associating Kony with Bin Laden and Hitler in this poster, KONY 2012 is promoting war.
I have absolutely no intention of defending Joseph Kony or to say “he’s not that bad”. He, along with many other guerrilla factions across Africa, has committed despicable atrocities. However, the problem of child soldiers has existed for decades and there are literally hundreds of Joseph Konys across the African continent. In some cases, some of the armies are actually funded by Western countries. If we would truly go to the root of the issue, we’d discover that Africa has been plagued with the problem of warring factions and rebel guerrillas ever since Western forces “liberated” their colonies and divided the continent of Africa according to Western interests.
Since the fall of rival superpower USSR, Western forces have sought to bring down and to control regional powers around the world, mostly in third countries. Uganda is part of that plan. The same way the spectre of Bin Laden was used to invade Afghanistan, Kony is being used to enter Uganda.
The video clearly shows what is the goal of this “movement”: U.S. troops taking charge of the Ugandan army, the same way it took charge of the Iraqi, Libyan and other armies in the past few years.
KONY 2012 is a cleverly orchestrated campaign specifically aimed at today’s youth, the future citizens of the world. Using state-of-the-art techniques and new technologies, the campaign is a first attempt at “reverse propaganda”, where the agenda APPEARS to emanate from the people. By using emotions, irrational thoughts and superficial explanations, KONY 2012 attempts to trick well-meaning people, who desire to make a positive change in the world, to instead fuel a gigantic war machine that is controlled by the world’s elite.

UGANDAN OIL: US Africa Command a tool to Recolonise the African Continent

The USA Africa Command, which America calls ‘Africom’, is a military structure of the Defence Department of America. Africom was formed in 2007 during President George W Bush’s second term of office. That was two months after America had bombed a small African country, Somalia, destabilising it to the ashes it is today and to the danger it now poses to Africa and international trade. The coast of Somalia is infested with sea piracy and kidnappings. This is as a result of the earlier American invasion of Somalia, in pursuit of its illegitimate economic interests in Africa. The political instability of Somalia has now caused the problem of ‘terrorism’ for East African countries such as Kenya.

Uganda suffered unspeakable atrocities under Idi Amin’s government that was installed by Britain under Prime Minister Edward Heath. The British government did not like the socialist policies of President Milton Obote. Idid Amin killed many Ugandans. They included the Anglican Archbishop Janani Luwum.
After the overthrow of Idid Amin, there emerged Joseph Kony, leader of what he calls the Lord’s Resistance Army. Kony has murdered thousands of Ugandans. This included kidnapping hundreds of Ugandan children who he forced to join his army to fight the Ugandan government. Many of those children were killed in the senseless war. This has gone on for over 20 years.
The US government never approached Uganda or the African Union or its predecessor, the Organisation of African Unity, to ask how the United States could help. Now there is discovery of oil in Uganda. Almost immediately, there are reports that US government has sent an army to Uganda to find Joseph Kony and rescue Uganda’s children. Why did America not make this offer long before Uganda discovered this oil wealth? Acquisition of Africa’s resources is the chief purpose of Africom, not the development of Africa.
Vice Admiral Moeller was the man President George W Bush entrusted with the mission of Africom. Moeller knew that mission in and out. At the United States’ Africa Command Conference held at Fort McNair on 18 February 2008, this American head of ‘Africom’ declared that, ‘Protecting the free flow of natural resources from Africa to the global market is one of Africom’s guiding principles.’
Admiral Moeller specifically cited ‘oil disruption’, ‘terrorism’ and the growing influence of China as a major challenge to United States’ interests in Africa. Africom is organised by the office of the Under-Secretary of Defence for Forces Transformation Resources and National Security Policy at the National Defence University Fort McNair, Washington D.C.
Africom serves the interests of the United States of America. Africa does not need ‘Africom. Africom is a jackal in sheep’s clothing.

Moreover, the Egyptian towns mentioned in the Bible did not exist at the time the event is supposed to have happened. They did exist, however, when the Bible was written, in the first or second century BC.

The militant anti-capitalist protestors that were at the summit, which marked the accession of eastern European states to the union, are saying that Kennedy made visits to Dublin to help train protesters and encouraged other activists to attack the police, raising further questions about his role as an undercover officer and supports claims he acted as an agent provocateur.
Michael D Higgins of the Irish Labour party is demanding an explanation from Britain as to why one of its undercover policemen was operating in the republic.
It was evident before the protest that police had intelligence on the activities of the activists who had travelled across the Irish Sea from Britain, suggesting that they had an informant in the protest movement. A police unit from the Pearse Street station arrested several people after smashing its way into a flat on Leeson Street in Dublin occupied by English anarchists.
“Some people arrested from the UK were kept here for two months but he did not get nicked for that. He was one of the people who were encouraging a confrontation with the garda up at the Parkgate,” said an activist who played host to Kennedy.
He said Kennedy made at least two other visits to Ireland over the next two years, including acting as a trainer on a program on civil disobedience for anarchist activists in 2004 and two years later joining the mass demonstration against the visit of George Bush to Ireland.

Sean Hoare, the former News of the World showbiz reporter who was the first named journalist to allege Andy Coulson was aware of phone hacking by his staff, has been found dead.
Mr Hoare said, not only did Coulson know of the phone hacking, but that he actively encouraged his staff to intercept the phone calls of celebrities in the pursuit of exclusives.
In this interview with the BBC he alleges that he was personally asked by his then-editor, Coulson, to tap into phones.
In the interview he said Coulson’s insistence that he didn’t know about the practice was “a lie, it is simply a lie”.
Hoare named a private investigator who he said had links with the News of the World, adding:
“He may want to talk now because I think what you’ll find now is a lot of people are going to want to cover their arse.”
Speaking last week, Hoare repeatedly expressed the hope that the hacking scandal would lead to journalism in general being cleaned up and said he had decided to blow the whistle on the activities of some of his former News of the World colleagues with that aim in mind.
Mr. Hoare emphasised that he was not making any money from telling his story.
“There’s more to come. This is not going to go away.”
Well tonight, it was revealed that Mr. Hoare had been found dead at his home.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, but not thought to be suspicious. Police investigations into this incident are ongoing

British weapons inspector Dr. David Kelly was writing an expose about his work with anthrax and his warnings that Iraq possessed no weapons of mass destruction at the time of his death in July 2003, according to a report published in a British newspaper.
Kelly’s death — said to have been a suicide — has stirred controversy, as it came on the heels of testimony to the House of Commons about a memo which purported that Britain had “sexed up” a dossier on Iraq’s alleged weapons of mass destruction. A Parliamentary inquiry ruled that the death had been suicide, though it also included testimony from a former British ambassador who quotes Kelly as having said, “I will probably be found dead in the woods” if Iraq were invaded. HE WAS RIGHT!!!
The new report says Kelly had spoken with an Oxford publisher several times about a book.
“He had several discussions with a publisher in Oxford and was seeking advice on how far he could go without breaking the law on secrets,” the UK Daily Express alleged.
Kelly’s computers were seized in the wake of his death. He was a signatory to Britain’s Official Secrets Act, which allows for the prosecution of those who talk to the press about state secrets and prescribes a more stringent framework for secrecy than in the United States.
According to the paper, “he was intending to reveal that he warned Prime Minister Tony Blair there were no weapons of mass destruction anywhere in Iraq weeks before the ­British and American invasion… and was also intending to lift the lid on a potentially bigger scandal, his own secret dealings in germ warfare with the apartheid regime in South Africa.”

Soham policemen on child porn charges
The policeman who comforted the parents of murdered schoolgirl Jessica Chapman has been charged with offences relating to the possession of indecent images of children.
Detective Constable Brian Stevens, 41, who last month read aloud a poem at a memorial service for the girls, was charged on Friday night, Cambridgeshire Police said.

The police haven’t said exactly what led them to arrest the Brookses this time around, but it’s worth remembering that Rebekah and her husband were recently in the news together for their adoption of a retired Scotland Yard horse, which many saw as a signal that News Corp.’s UK management was too close with police.

Bush, Fed, Europe Banks in $15 Trillion Fraud, All Documented

Below is one of the strangest stories in financial history, one involving the US government lying about hundreds of thousands of tons of imaginary gold, illegal wire transfers and loans totalling $15 trillion.  The video, from the House of Lords, is amazing in itself. 
What it doesn’t express is where the money came from though Lord James of Blackheath proves conclusively that an effort was made to say it came from a gold reserve in Brunei that, in fact, never existed.
At surface, it appears we have stumbled upon the largest terrorist organization in the world and have found original documents tracing its funding to the Secretary of the Treasury and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, two of the top financial officers in the US.  A cursory review of terrorism statues in the US indicate that all transactions we will learn about are, in fact, to be assumed “terrorist money laundering” and that the only thing preventing the immediate arrest of hundreds of top financial officials is their political connections alone.
On February 16, 2012, Lord James of Blackheath, member of Britain’s House of Lords presented evidence of an illegal scheme begun, he has thus discovered, in 2009.  His documents including originals signed by Alan Greenspan and Timothy Geithner, show the illegal “off the books” transfer by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York of $15 trillion to, initially, HSBC (Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation) London and then to the Bank of Scotland.
The Bank of Scotland, under royal charter but restricted from involvement in any such transactions, simply “gave” the money to 20 European banks to use in a highly profitable scheme of co-trading “fresh cut” MTN’s (mid-term notes), generating trillions of dollars in profits over 3 years, none of which is shown on books, none has been taxed or has benefited shareholders in those banks.
As Blackheath outlines, the “deception and cover” for this transfer is the imaginary seizure of 750,000 tons of gold by agents of an unspoken entity (confirmed by the highest official sources as the Bush family and CIA), the listed “source” of the money.
The government of Indonesia confirms this to be an utter fabrication and that the individual named had 700 tons of gold (about half of what Gaddafi was holding), not 750,000.  It is noted that only 1,500 tons of gold have ever been traded in world history, as stated in the House of Lords.
The issues that are initially brought out, issues inconsistent with international convention and starting the reader on what is only the surface discovery of two decades of crimes involving dozens of governments are as follows:

■At no time has the Federal Reserve Bank of New York been authorized to hold the funds indicated
■However, documents held by Lord Blackheath prove, conclusively that they did hold such funds and transfer them in a manner as to obscure their origin by using HSBC and the Bank of Scotland.  This process, seemingly involving Alan Greenspan, Timothy Geithner and others would appear to be “money laundering” until some other explanation were found.  None has been offered.
■The “collateralization” of these funds, being 750,000 tons of gold, is proven to be fantasy.  These funds then, in no way or manner, are related to Brunei.  The presentation of this false transaction has been conclusively proven to be a “cover and deception” project such as an intelligence organization would use.
■The transfer of these funds, all done without any authorizations, governmental or otherwise, particularly without agreements, payment of interest to the United States and without knowledge and approval of congress makes every aspect of this criminal in nature, a violation of innumerable statutes.
■The receipt and use of these funds by the 20 banks, two of which are Wall Street’s largest, and the use of these funds to generate profits while the funds themselves are held “off the books” and the profits hidden and laundered, themselves the earnings of funds received through criminal acts makes any and all involved part of a criminal enterprise.

WHERE DID THE MONEY COME FROM
There is no record of the Federal Reserve being authorized to “create” $15 trillion, equal to the entire national debt of the United States.  There is, however, proof that funds that totalled, at one time, $27 trillion had been earned surreptitiously, disposed of as part of an intelligence operation against the Soviet Union and then later stolen with accusations made against George H. W. Bush as being the perpetrator.
I have spoken with two individuals, one President Reagan’s intelligence coordinator and the other Chief Legal Cousel for the Central Intelligence Agency regarding these funds.  Both have indicated that former President Bush had asked that these funds, totalling $27 trillion, be transferred to his control, that threats were made by Bush and that many involved in this operation suffered, issues including murder, illegal arrest, torture and detention among them.
The individuals I am speaking of repeatedly met with President  Bush over these funds, disputed his claim to them, and indicate that the majority of the funds are the property of the people of the United States.
These funds are the mysterious “Wanta” funds, monies earned through years of currency trading aimed at collapsing the Soviet Union, a plan originated by President Ronald Reagan, then White House Intelligence Coordinator Lee Wanta and CIA Director William Casey.  I have been told that, while this operation went forward under President Reagan, he had ordered that his successor, George H. W. Bush not be “briefed” out of “mistrust” for Bush.
The funds themselves were earned through a scheme of trading Soviet roubles at enormous profit, a practice that eventually collapsed their government.  A portion of the profits are subject to current litigation in the Federal Court of the Eastern District of Virginia, Judge Lee presiding.  I have over 2,000 pages of documents on this case which shows a remainder of the original funds had been transferred to the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond by the Bank of China, a party to the rouble trading practice, in 2006 and is claimed as totally owned by Ameritrust Corporation.  That amount was $4.5 trillion of which we hold the SWIFT transfer documents.
The other monies, which “likely” make up from the unspent portion of the missing $27 trillion, may well constitute all that is recoverable.
Wanta, sole shareholder in Ameritrust, has offered his companies share, valued by the court now at $7.2 trillion, entirely to the American people as intended by President Reagan.
The origin of the additional funds, issued by the Federal Reserve during the 80s and 90s, totalling nearly $8 trillion is unknown.   High ranking sources within the US government indicate that this can only be either the remainder of funds Wanta raised or profits made from them after the majority of funds were stolen.
Stories, some quite good actually, and personal interviews plus my own review of documents would place the theft or conversion of these funds initially with:

■The Bush family
■The “P2,” a Masonic lodge operating out of Switzerland involved in dozens of terror bombings tied to “Operation Gladio”
■People around Wanta himself including the CIA
What is lacking is a source for half of these funds.  Technically, they don’t exist as there is no record of them being originated by nor transferred to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York though there are clear and discernible records of them being transferred out of that institution which never possessed them, according to their 2010 audit, in the first place.

IMHO ANOTHER POSSIBILITY IS ITS THE PROFITS OF DRUG RUNNING!! A MODERN IRAN-CONTRA COCAINE AND CRACK SUPPLY TO RAISE, “OFF THE BOOKS” MONEY FOR BLACK-OPS AND SUPPLYING GUNS TO OUR SUPPOSED ENEMIES.

WANTA MONEY
The transfer of Wanta funds, they can be assumed to have no other origin as they track into the Federal Reserve banking system while in escrow and are currently awaiting payment based on the orders of President Obama in accordance with findings of the federal court, is complicated by the Scottish transfer.
Either Wanta has claim to the entire amount or it is the property of the US government.  That no effort has been made to secure the funds or enforce criminal and civil remedies to recover enough money to pay the entire US national debt and more, as with earnings, we are nearing well over $30 trillion by this time, is an indication that a criminal conspiracy with enough influence to overrule our own government is involved.  Whether that “conspiracy is, as noted, the Bush family, rouge sections of the CIA or a secret society such as P2, one we can prove or others we only suspect exist, is another story.
The lack of action, here or as requested by Lord James in Britain, is, in itself, proof of both the seriousness and actuality of these events and the powers that can prevent any inquiry when irrefutable documents such as SWIFT transfers are available.  In fact, Lord James has offered a wealth of documents which, when combined with the 2000 pages of Wanta “discovery” from the Federal Court, constitutes more than prima facia evidence of money laundering, conversion, terrorism or worse.
Thus, the inaction in the face of overwhelming and unquestioned proof is inexplicable.

INEXPLICABLE?

FLOOD OF WANTA LITIGATION AND INDICTMENTS COMING
Currently, Wanta’s legal status is as technical conservator and owner of $7.2 trillion.  However, as nearly half that is owed in taxes and the court settlement required Wanta to purchase $1 trillion in treasury bonds, the federal government should show positive interest other than President Obama and a few others.  More are being obstructionist with the payout and exercise of $3 trillion in US debt reduction.
This is, not only illegal but an indication of conspiracy.
In addition, Russian Prime Minister Putin has communicated that he awaits the agreed upon 3% payment of Russian taxes, initially on the $7.2 trillion.  Will Putin want to be paid on the entire $15 trillion plus interest and will Russia and/or the US have interest in why the Bank of Scotland transferred these funds to 20 European banks to trade in MTN’s (mid term notes) without any authorization or agreement, any participation or sharing of profits.
As the funds, at least the half which the US government can claim ownership of, combined with the interest and earnings of, would quickly put the US “in the black,” again we look at, not just the press blackout on the Wanta litigation of the last 6 years but the press blackout on Lord James of Blackheath and the wealth of damning documentation he submitted to Parliament.
Nothing has been done since, it is as though the proof submitted was so dangerous that those moments in time have been erased by a mysterious g-dlike power.
What makes Wanta dangerous is that he has begun to distribute funds, some to government entities, counties and states, law enforcement agencies, giving them standing, not just in recovering funds intended for their use but in helping prosecute anyone involved in interfering with or attempting to divert funds.
One grand jury is being formed to investigate diversion of Wanta funds even at this early date.  It is likely that Wanta/Ameritrust funds earmarked for border protection could lead to the indictment of high ranking US officials.  This is only the beginning.
If the Royal Bank of Scotland doesn’t think it should be expecting the biggest chargeback in the history of the world, they are in for a shock.

Gerald Celente: Nightmare “Schemed” To Cover Up America Collapse
Dominique de Kevelioc de Bailleul:  Trends Research Institute founder Gerald Celente predicts that a war with Iran is scheduled to cover up the next leg down to the financial collapse of the U.S. and political upheaval a collapse engenders.

Celente continued the discussion with Waltzek by making the eerie parallel between today’s economic depression, social unrest and geopolitics with those of the Great Depression, which began with the Crash of 1929 and ended following the conclusion of WWII.
Pressure on Washington to quell the threat of Communism as an alternative to a failed central bank controlled ‘capitalist’ system in the U.S. of the 1930′s has reemerged, but with the threat to the status quo coming this time, not from the potential of a viable Communist movement, but instead coming from the  rapidly growing Constitutionalists and End-the-Fed movement led by Republican congressman and 2012 presidential candidate Ron Paul.
History is replete with examples of nations, once divided, reversing course to unite behind a president in times of war.  Celente believes that this  time is no different and that Iran will serve as Krugman’s Hitler for Washington’s political purposes.

Secret Warning of Military Strike Against Syria Issued?
Several news sources are reporting the sudden withdraw by China, France, Canada, and other nations of foreign nationals, airline flights, diplomats, and embassy staff from Syria.
News reports keep coming in of various agencies, companies, workers, and diplomatic staff from several countries suddenly evacuating from Syria in an ominous repeat of events that occurred just before the NATO bombing of Libya.
China reports they are evacuating all of their personal, except those needed to protect oil equipment, so they are not caught in a off-guard in situation where they have to perform a mass emergency evacuations like they did in Libya.
Reports of similar evacuations orders are also coming out of Canada, where the government has also announced stiff sanctions against Libya and issued a declaration of support for the rebels saying Assad must go.
Air-France just reported that all Syria flights are “suspended until further notice” after cancelling two flights earlier in the week, blaming the cancellations on the “ongoing protests” in Syria. The news comes after France just shut down its embassy services and ordered evacuations similar to Canada.
The new reports today follow several similar reports out of the the UK within the last week of various government related agencies and organizations issuing  evacuation orders for citizens and diplomats while shutting down embassy services

March 08, 2012 “CT” — Can we squeeze the glory out of the word “war”? Can we talk about savage irrationality and lifelong inner hell instead? Can we talk about the wreckage of two countries?
Can we talk about spiritual cancer?
In the extraordinary documentary “On the Bridge” — an unstinting look at the reality of war and the terror of PTSD, directed by Olivier Morel — each of the six Iraq vets who opens his or her heart in the course of the film has a moment of deep, almost unbearable silence at the end, staring into the camera and through the camera at the viewer . . . and at the nation they are committed to waking up. In that silence, those are the questions that begin to emerge
It puts these wounds into context: We are the aggressor nation, not simply at the geopolitical level, invading and occupying a nation and commandeering its resources, but at the human level, with American GIs routinely dehumanizing and brutalizing Iraqis on the streets and in their homes.
“When I was over there, a lot of saddening stuff happened,” Moon explained. “I couldn’t process it — I couldn’t cry. I’d have been considered a p—y. You have to stay in the group. If you lose your position, it’s dangerous. So you just kind of stuff it all down. Then you get home . . . ‘we’d like to talk to you.’ You open that door to converse with an emotion — it’s gigantic. Never (before) in my life did I have emotions I couldn’t control.”
But the reason for the enormity of these emotions — provoking endless thoughts of suicide — is because the vets are haunted by guilt over what they witnessed and what they did.
One (day) they brought in a car that had just been shot up. The driver’s fully intact brain was sitting in the back seat of the car. I walked over to the body bag with the passenger in it. The bag began twitching and we could hear his body still attempting to breathe. We laughed as we stomped the bag.”
Grappling with his incredulity at such orders — at how few of his fellow soldiers acknowledged that running over children, that mistreating Iraqi civilians, might provoke hatred and fuel the insurgency — he said: “I literally felt like I was in an alternate universe. I was almost convinced for a while this was by design, that there has to be some mad genius (who decided) we need a perpetual war. How can we make this happen? . . . I started going numb.”
Also appearing in the film are the parents and sister of Jeffrey Lucey, a former Marine and Iraq vet who hanged himself in 2004. The family talked with remarkable candor about Jeff’s ordeal, about the private hell that no one could penetrate.
As his father, Kevin, put it: “PTSD is a cancer of the spirit.”
Vet suicides have been skyrocketing. According to a figure cited at the end of the film, they may be as high as 8,000 a year now. The VA is an inept bureaucracy, utterly unable to cope with a problem they can’t fix in any case, because the problem plunges to the bottom of the American soul. The vets who take their lives are trying to atone for what they were told to do, what they were forced to turn into, in the name of their country.

Britain’s Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) says the man police shot dead in Cheshire on Saturday did not have a gun in his car after similar cases in recent months raising fears officers are given the say-so to kill citizens indiscriminately.
Grainger’s case was especially important, as it was at least the third such incident over the past seven months, which also included the death of the 29-year-old black man Mark Duggan.
Duggan’s death is believed to have been the starting point and the trigger for the massive August unrest, that was without precedence in a generation and put the country in a state of security alert, after police beat a 16 year girl protesting his death and the corporate media covered up the beating.
The IPCC said on Monday that inspectors’ did not find any weapons in Grainger’s car and in its immediate vicinity after an “initial visual search.”
Grainger’s’ fatal shooting in “unclear” circumstances underlines fears that the police are given a free rein to kill anyone they wish while they rest assured that no trial or conviction is in the works.
The police also claimed after Duggan’s murder in August that he had a gun and had shot at the officers before they fired at him.
Months later, however, the IPCC said Duggan was not even carrying a gun and no less did not use it to open fire on officers.
The IPCC seems to be following the same line on Grainger’s case that could be the 3,181 death in police custody or after detention since 1969 for which no one has been blamed.
